Because of commercialization, possible pagan origins and a shift of focus off of Jesus Christ; followers of Jesus should have nothing to do with the word/meaning of "easter" and its secular traditions. Nor should we be wishing anyone "happy easter" (instead we should say "Jesus bless you" or "Jesus is alive").

The more we focus on Jesus - His life, suffering, shame, sacrifice, death and resurrection on our behalf, the better. All should know the true meaning of the day, we have a responsibility to share/teach truth in everything.
