Loyalty, Faithfulness, Obedience, Trust, Love of God

LOYALTY, FAITHFULNESS, OBEDIENCE, TRUST, LOVE FOR GOD
2 Chronicles 16:7-12

Does Your Life Show Evidence of Loyalty/Faithfulness/Obedience/Trust/Love for God?

It has been said, “There is no loyalty/faithfulness/obedience/trust/love amongst thieves”.

Are you with God or against Him?

First, lets take a look at the word loyalty and define it:
Being constant and faithful, bearing true support or allegiance to someone or something.

Now, lets take a look at some synonyms of loyalty (a synonym is a word or phrase that means exactly or nearly the same as another word or phrase in the same language):
allegiance, faithfulness, obedience, adherence, homage, devotion, steadfastness, trueheartedness, dependability, reliability, trustworthiness, duty, dedication, commitment, patriotism

Notice how obedience is a synonym of loyalty.

Finally, lets take a look at some Scripture Verses on obedience to God. But first we must be mindful of the Greek word translated “keep” in these Scripture verses, which speaks of watchful/careful/thoughtful obedience. It involves not only the act of obedience, but also the spirit of obedience - a willing/habitual/constant safeguarding of God’s Word (Holy Scriptures). Also within these verses, is the Greek word translated “commandments”, which refers specifically to the precepts of Christ rather than laws in general. Legal obedience demands perfection or penalty, but these scripture verses are a call to gracious obedience because of the penalty Christ has already paid. With all that said, here are the Verses:

If you love Me, you will keep (obey) My commandments.
~John 14:15

He who has My commandments and keeps (obeys) them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will disclose Myself to him.
~John 14:21

Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep (obey) My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him. He who does not love Me does not keep (obey) My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father’s who sent Me.
~John 14:23-24

If you keep (obey) My commandments, you will abide (stay/remain/continue) in My love; just as I have kept (obeyed) My Father’s commandments and abide (stay/remain/continue) in His love.
~John 15:10

By this we know that we have come to know Him, if we keep (obey) His commandments. The one who says, “I have come to know Him,” and does not keep (obey) His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him; but whoever keeps (obeys) His word, in him the love of God has truly been perfected. By this we know that we are in Him: the one who says he abides (stays/remains/continues) in Him ought himself to walk in the same manner as He walked.
~1 John 2:3-6

In a sense, obedience may seem like… a turn-off, is demanding, is reprimanding, is forced upon, is unpleasant or burdensome or undesirable. While loyalty seems like… worthy, loving, caring, something to strive for or a desirable quality to have. Hmmm, what do you think?

Now, lets use the same Scripture verses above, but this time around we’ll use the notion of loyalty instead of obedience. Lets take a look:

If you love Me, you will keep (obey) be loyal to My commandments.
~John 14:15

He who has My commandments and keeps (obeys) is loyal to them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will disclose Myself to him.
~John 14:21

Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep (obey) be loyal to My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him. He who does not love Me does is not keep (obey) loyal to My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father’s who sent Me.
~John 14:23-24

If you keep (obey) are loyal to My commandments, you will abide (stay/remain/continue) in My love; just as I have kept (obeyed) been loyal to My Father’s commandments and abide (stay/remain/continue) in His love.
~John 15:10

By this we know that we have come to know Him, if we keep (obey) are loyal to His commandments. The one who says, “I have come to know Him,” and does is not keep (obey) loyal to His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him; but whoever keeps (obeys) is loyal to His word, in him the love of God has truly been perfected. By this we know that we are in Him: the one who says he abides (stays/remains/continues) in Him ought himself to walk in the same manner as He walked.
~1 John 2:3-6

Does the word loyalty strike a nerve with you and/or mean much more to you and/or is more relatable to you then the word obedience? Just ask yourself, “Am I a loyal friend?” or “Am I an obedient friend?". Which one of these questions seem to be more fitting with you? Again, loyalty seems like… worthy, loving, caring, something to strive for or a desirable quality to have; while obedience may seem like… a turn-off, is demanding, is reprimanding, is forced upon, is unpleasant or burdensome or undesirable.

Perhaps using the word loyal instead of obedient in Scripture carries more weight and/or makes more sense with you (even though the two words essentially mean the same thing, as shown above).

For the Eyes of Yahweh Roam throughout the earth to show Himself Strong for those whose hearts are completely His.
~ 2 Chronicles 16:9

So, have you supernaturally experienced the true meaning & Biblically based understanding of your role & relationship with God, as well as His role & relationship with you? Does your life show evidence (fruit) of Loyalty/Faithfulness/Obedience/Trust/Love for God?

Father Jesus Holy Spirit, thank You so much for Your constant love, kindness, patience, help, forgiveness, power & blessings. I know Your Desire for me is to be transformed into Jesus’ Image, therefore help me, enable me to focus on Jesus more and more. God, draw me closer to You as You pour out Your Desired Blessings of Holiness in me. In Jesus Name - so be it.

Vocation-Work-Job-Career

VOCATION - WORK - JOB - CAREER
A Divine Calling / Biblical Tentmaking

He who pays attention to the word [of God] will find good,
And blessed (happy, prosperous, to be admired) is he who trusts [confidently] in the Lord.
~Proverbs 16:20

... But offer yourselves to God [in a decisive act]... and your members [all of your abilities - sanctified, set apart] as instruments of righteousness [yielded] to God.
... so now offer your members [your abilities, your talents] as slaves to righteousness, leading to sanctification [that is, being set apart for God's purpose].

Vocation/Work/Job/Career: A Divine Call. A Holy Summons to Fulfill a Task or a Responsibility that God has Laid Upon Us. God-Given Desires, Interests, Gifts, Talents, Abilities, Callings.

Our vocation/work/job/career are tools of ministry and service to God (to honor/glorify God).

Why do you do what you do? Our answer should be... because I love God, I trust Him, I obey Him, I rely on Him, I am loyal to Him, I follow Jesus Christ (imperfectly of course, but striving for excellence). Are you right with God (walking with Him)? Do you cherish, treasure, desire God (and His Glory) above all things/pleasures? Are you where He wants you to be (not where you want to be)? What are you doing with the God-given desires, interests, gifts, talents, abilities and callings He has laid upon you?

You were created to love/serve/honor God, love/help/impact people, share Jesus with others, discipleship, and cultivate/care for God's creations (animals, nature, the world). Doing so affects the welfare, health and wellness of all. Are you praying for and applying this? If not, it is time to do so.

Walk with God (His Will manifesting in you & through you); as opposed to living out your fleshly will, the will of the world, or the will of the enemy. Our actions indicate/prove who we are (either a follower of Jesus or a follower of the flesh/world/satan). Follow Jesus and do what God has for you at the moment (whatever He is calling you to do). Surrender yourself to God and Trust Him, Rely on Him, Obey Him, be Loyal to Him, Love Him... He knows what's best for you. Do not allow pride, ego, stubbornness, idolatry, fear, doubt, worry, or weakness to hinder you (these are not from God).

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control].

Go For It!

Be Strong, Courageous and Faithfully Committed to God

Ask God what He would like you to be doing - His Divine Calling (what He has called you to do at the present time). God gives you (good, righteous) desires, interests, gifts, talents, abilities - what are you doing with them? Ask others you trust (who walk with God) to pray with/for you about this as well. God will reveal His Will for you. He will direct you in this if you wait upon Him and expect to hear from Him. When you do hear from God, make sure to obey Him (don't hesitate, start right away). Don't let fear, doubt, worry, weakness, pride, ego stubbornness, idolatry, etc stop you! Trust Him and move forward with action.

Some other questions you should ask God, yourself, and others you trust (who walk with God)... Am I being a faithful witness to Jesus everywhere I go (whatever I am doing or engaged in)? Is my current (and/or future) vocation/work/job/career allowed, approved, acceptable to God? Does God allow this, or prohibit this? Does this vocation/work/job/career honor God? Does this contribute to the well-being of mankind (as well as animals, nature, the world - which effects the general welfare of all)? How does this contribute to the Will of God, the good of humanity, animals, nature, and the world? Do the goods/services of this vocation/work/job/career (not just in a few applications or the end-results, but all throughout the entire process/system from start to finish) honor/glorify God and benefit the general welfare of all?

Matthew 22:36-40, John 13:34-35, Matthew 28:18-20, Matthew 5:13-16, Matthew 6:25-34

Psalm 37:5, Isaiah 26:3, Psalm 26:3, Colossians 3:17, 1 Timothy 6:12

Psalm 34, Proverbs 18:16

Meditate on this, discuss with others you trust (who walk with God), pray to God for help/direction, wait on Him, expect to hear from Him, listen to Him, obey Him (act/apply). Then share what you learned/experienced - help, encourage, inspire others for good.

For Your Name Sake Yahweh Elohim.
