SCRIPTURE VERSUS INTERPRETATION

Always be sure to examine Scripture carefully to differentiate the actual meaning of God's Words versus our interpretations. The proper approach to Scripture (since it is God's infallible Word) is to ask yourself, "Since Scripture cannot be in error, is my understanding of Scripture in error?"

Lets use the following Scriptures...

Acts 6:8-15, Acts 7

There's so much to dissect, meditate on, and be thankful for from the above Scriptures. Let's focus on the following:

How long were the Israelites in Egypt (400 years or 430 years)?

Acts 7:6, Genesis 15:13-16, Exodus 12:40-41, Galatians 3:16-17

Where was the land of Midian that Moses fled to and who were the Midianites?

Genesis 25:1-11

How does the iniquity of the Amorites come into play here, as well as God's judgement on the Amorites (and the Egyptians)?

Genesis 15:13-16

Why did God condone such terrible violence in the Old Testament?
Exodus 23:23-33
